Hello. I am trying to trace my father who appears to have been born in 28 Cross St Rotherham C.B. Google shows there are such streets in Bramley, Goldthorpe, Wath et al. Which is the most likely area - the Registration District is shown as Rotherham CB; sub district N W Rotherham; Parish of St Mary and his folk we extremely poorly off.

I don't expect this to have any bearing on my enquiry but dad was Ernest William Bailey and DoB 24 Nov 1911.

I wil be very grateful to hear from you if you can say where in Rotherham his home would have been. Many thanks in advance.
