After many years Ive finally gotten around to researching the home guard at the stag inn after doing a little job for chris the new landlord.
He is planning to use the building at the back of the pub marked BOROUGH HOME GUARD as a snooker hall/museum to the home guard,the entrance is currently boarded up.
Peering through the gap in the boarding the interior is original 1940s
Does any body have any photographs from the time, training manual etc etc,or personnel recollections from anybody who took part.
