Looking for information on John Humphrey who married Jane Weaver. Their children were:

William Riley, b. 21 May 1840; m1. Peaney Irick; m2. Nancy Jane Long.
Thomas; b. circa 1843.
Mary A.; b. circa 1845; m. Jeremiah Cooper.
Susan M. (Sarah); b. circa 1848.
Elizabeth; b. circa 1851.
Parlea; b. 3 May 1854;136,137 m. Lewis Bradford Ezell; d. 3 May 1922 at age 68.
Lucinda J.; b. circa 1859.

Ron, I have seen this John Humphrey while researching my own line, Moses Humphreys. My files are extensive, but I will look and see what I have. Do you know if Jane Weaver had a sister, Amy, who married William Humphreys?

Also, I have a record of a John Humphreys in the Mexican War (serving twice). It appeared he was from Wheat Co., Tenn. I thought this might mean Wheat Community. Are you familiar with this area?

I don't have any evidence that Jane & Amy were sisters, but I suspect that they were.

My Humphrey family is from the Raccoon Valley area which is located in east Anderson County. The Wheat Community was located on the west side of Anderson County and may have also flowed into Roane County.
