What looks like a pile of junk lying next to the railroad tracks and between the two men is actually what's left of a truck that was hit by a train. The actual date of this accident or the location where it occured is unknown. Because these pictures were donated to the HSWT by Ron Pagano and his grandfather worked for the Camden Atlantic/Pennsylvania Reading Railroad we assume the accident happened on their right-of-way. Nothing more is known about of this accident.

The pictures themselves give no clue as to their age. The are mounted on a single piece of cardboard and have been augmented with ink to give them a little more "punch", perhaps for possible publication. Can anyone identify the model year of the truck at the far left side of the photo?

Can anyone identify any of these men inspecting the weckage? Perhaps the syle of their clothes (and shirt collars in particular) might give a clue to the time frame during which this picture might have been taken.

Note that the truck wheels had wooden spokes and may have had solid rubber tires. The engine was ripped completely out of the frame and the "headlight" may have been operated on acetylene gas. Dies anyone recognize the building in the background? Any comments or observation would be welcome.
