I would like to locate bottles or other glass articles produced at the Glassworks for pictures. I am planning an article on the Glasswork's deep well drilled in 1853 by driller named E.N. Bolles of Camden. Any information on the Glassworks, pictures of articles (i will take the pictures), or other history or pictures of the works is sought. Thank you.

Are you really researching an article on this well? I asked for this information earlier in November 2006. Your message sounds like mine "word for word".

Sorry I made a mistake. I saw someone else's name associated with my emails yesterday and today the name is no longer associated with my email?

Thank for your reply and any help you can provide on this matter. I am researching New Jersey's First Artesian Well drilled in Winslow. Since it was drilled at the Glass Works any information on the "works" would be appreciated. I found a plat (map and drawing) of the works on the web by doing a web search for Winslow Glass Works.

Dear Enrique,

I am referring your query to a resident (Paul DelGuercio) who has studied glassmaking here in Winslow Township and may be able to better date the bottle. The Winslow Glassworks was first built in 1831 by William Coffin Sr. and was leased in 1884 to Tillyer Brothers of Philadelphia. The bottle was probably produced between those dates. Hopefully Paul can provide more information in depth. We find it interesting that the bottle made its way to the deserts of Chile.

ENRIQUE, THIS BOTTLE WAS MADE AT WINSLOW GLASSWORKS AROUND 1870-75. THEY WERE PLENTIFUL WHICH MEANS THEY MADE ALOT OF THEM. IF YOU WANT TO SELL BOTTLE LET ME KNOW AS I WOULD GIVE YOU $50 US MONEY IF BOTTLE IS NOT DAMAGED OR CRACKED. E-MAIL ME BACK AT PAULHAVOC@COMCAST.NET THANK YOU PAUL DELGUERCIO
