Looking for any information on James Porter, born May 31, 1796, unknown location;- died June 5, 1870 in Illinois Married about 1822 to Katrine Reed and had 9 children from 1823 to 1843, Lived in eastern Ohio, then moved to Illinois where he and his wife are buried in Wyanet, Bureau Co., IL. Would like to know if this is the same James Porter found in the 1850 Census for Pease Township, Belmont Co., Ohio

Is Pease Township now considered to be part of Martins Ferry??
