George "Jerry Staley", 70 of Ohio Avenue, Martins Ferry, Ohio, died Wed,Oct 8, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hosiptal, Martins Ferry.
He was born June 4, 1933 in Martins Ferry, a son of George L. and Gladys M.Duke Staley.
He was retired from the Yorkville Plant of the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and a member of St Mary`s Catholic Church in Martins Ferry.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a Brother Martin and a Sister Lois B. Collette.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years Mary Evelyn Coss Staley;
five Sons, Dale(Diana) of Martins Ferry, David(Tracy) of Wheeling, James(Mary) of Martins Ferry, Jerry(Jamie) of Wheeling, Patrick(Jodi) of Martins Ferry, a Daughter, Connie(Bob) Hackett of Martins Ferry, a Sister Rose Mary( Roger) Gildow of Colerain. 13 Grandchildren, and Nine Great Grandchildren.
Friends will be received Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 at the Heslop Funeral Home Walnut St and Fifth, Martins Ferry.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday, Oct 10, 2003 at 10 a.m. at St Mary`s Mary`s Catholic Church, Martins Ferry , with Rev.Thomas Magary officiating. Burial follows at St. Mary`s Cemetery Martins Ferry.
