Clay Miner killed
Crushed to Death by Fall of Hugh Rock Yesterday Afternoon
New Cumberland
Mark Staley, married, a miner employed in the RockySide plant of the Mack Manufactureing Company above New Cumberland, was instantly killed at 4`clock yesterday afternoon, when a huge rock crashed down on the unfortunate Man. Another miner was also struck by the rock and sustained serious injuries. He may also die.
Staley and his fellow workman were shooting clay in the Rockey side of the plant when the accident happened.
Fellow workman rushed ro their assitance following the accident and discovered that Staley was dead and that the other man was in serious condition.
Staley`s home is at Moscow, while the injured miner resdided at Rockey Side, but a few vlocks from the plant. Both men has Famillies.
