I certainly agree with your desire to join the Mayflower Society and the DAR, but I must tell you that the Jamestown Society might be a little more difficult. First of all, you must have an invitation from a member to submit an application. Then the cost is, or was as of last year, $300. Plus, if I remember correctly, there is a rather narrow window in which to respond, 3 months I think. I checked into this because I'm a Stephen Hopkins descendant and managed to find a member who invited me. But I decided not to pursue it when I found out how much it would cost.
