There are Wentworths and Jacksons who are Mayflower descendants, but that does not mean that there is any connection between them and you. Even surnames found among the Mayflower passengers, such as Alden and Bradford, had unrelated immigrants of those surnames whose descendants are not Mayflower descendants. For example, there were 17th century Alden and Bradford families in the Boston area unrelated to the Mayflower Aldens and Bradfords. The only way to know if you have Mayflower ancestry is the time-honored and genealogical acceptable way - working backwards generation by generation using contemporary sources.
