I have a metal that says Women's Relief Corps 1883 and on the back it says patented May 4 and Sept 28, 1886. Any idea which state this would be from. The ribbon that was attached has come off.

I hope you still monitor this site. My great grandmother was a past president of WRC. This is written on her headstone. She died in 1915, so it was prior to that year. Do you know where I can find a list of past presidents and the dates they served. My great grandfather served in the 21 Ind Inf/First Reg Heavy Artillery "Jackass Regiment", from 1861 in Indianapolis to 1866 at Baton Rouge.

My Grandmother Pearl Robbins was a member of the WRC for more than 25 years. I have her 25 year pin and her presedent pin. The presential pin is on a blue ribbon and it has her name and 1961 on it.
How ever I also have a pin that looks like a shield with 2 crossed flags that says WPC. I have not been able to find out what that organization is/was.
