Noticed the name Freskyn appear on a list this week.
The Sutherland family first adopted the surname Sutherland when before 1235 the great grandson of Freskyn, progenitor of the Sutherland clan received the Earldom of Sutherland and thus became holder of the oldest title in Scotland still extant.
