Alexander Ross, stonecutter of Golspie, died on 2 February 1847, aged 45 years. His wife, Janet Thomson, died 16 May 1896, aged 86. They are buried in St Andrew's Kirkyard, Golspie.
I have also checked the records and cannot find that Alexander was born in Golspie. He may be the Alexander born in 1802 in Dornoch. The name of his eldest two sons will give you a clue!
