Miles family

I am searching for information on Amanda Miles who married my Greatgrandfather. They were married in Middletown Ky 1869. In the 1870 census George Miles was living with Berryman and Amanda Boes. Henry Miles and his wife Mary were living close by. Amanda, George, and Henry are all listed as being born in Georgia. A family member told me that my grandfather, Shelby Boes, was born in Haralson Co. Ga. so I am thinking that Amanda still had family in Georgia and was visiting when my grandfater was born. Any information on this family would be a great help.

Thanks Doris! I also noticed by looking at some old Georgia county maps that there is a Holly Springs in Douglas and Elbert Counties, where I am researching other family members. That must be a popular name for a town or in this case a cemetary.

Regards,

Laura Statham

Hi All,

Have been researching Statham family of Draketown. Recently received information from a distant cousin that many from the Statham family are buried in All Good and Holy Springs Cemetaries/Churches, but I don't see that these are cemeteries or churches in Haralson. Do these names sound familiar?

Regards,

Laura
