I am sorry, we do not have anyone named Schmachtenberg or Schmachtenberger liste in our DAR Patriot Index. This does not mean no one by that name served during the American Revolution. It only means that no woman has joined the DAR using someone by that name as her patriot ancestor.

I have checked one source on Revolutionary War pensions and found no one by that name listed there either. I also checked a few data bases I have access to and unfortunately, found no listings to help you.

If we can look up anyone else for you let us know.
