I am sorry we do not list William Schoonover in our DAR Patriot Index. This does not mean he did not serve in the American Revolution as you stated. It only means that no woman has joined the DAR using his service as proof of her eligibility.

Have you check the National Archives for a service record. Service records often provide genealogical data as well as service information. Visit the National Archives on line at www.nara.gov to find regional National Archive locations or how to order files on line.
