There are only two men with surnames spelled Chancellor - John and Thomas. Can you give me any other information? Like name of wife? Can his name be spelled any other way? I tried one L instead of double L, e instead of o at the end. I tried a blind search with David's who served in VA and died in IN. I came up empty all around.

All this means is that no woman to date has joined DAR using a David Chancellor as her patriot ancestor. You can be the first! There are women in every chapter whose job it is to help prospective members like yourself. If you would like someone to contact you and you do not already have a contact in a chapter local to you, let me know the city and state of your residence and we'll see that someone gets in touch with you. It may take a while but they may be able to help you find more on David.
