This means someone has joined the DAR using David as her patriot to prove eligibility.

If you would like a record copy of an application with David Dersham as the ancestor you can order it by sending the above information and & a check payable to: Treasurer General NSDAR for $10. MAIL all to: Library Copy Services, DAR, 1776 D Street NW, Washington, DC 20006-5303.
If the child of the Patriot ancestor is known you can request that record copy. One request and check per envelope and allow 4-6 weeks as this DAR Office is very busy.

A record copy will provide more details such as specific service, dates of birth, death and marriage of the patriot and descendants to the applicant and sources of proofs.
