Thank you for posting your query. You mentioned that your grandmother was a DAR member. She would have filled out an application paper in order to join DAR. You may want to request a "record copy" of her application paper. It can be ordered for a fee of $10.00 per paper. The DAR staff may need to perform considerable research to fill the request, so it would be helpful if you could provide as much information on your grandmother as possible to help them with this search. If the requested paper is not available, the fee is NOT refundable.

You will need to send all the information on your grandmother, along with a check made payable to Treasurer General, NSDAR in the amount of $10 (U.S.). The request and check should be sent:

Library Copy Services, DAR
1776 D Street NW
Washington, DC 20006-5303.

Requests will take between 6-8 weeks.
