Surnames: FERREE, Wells, Ashbrook, Baltzley, Baltzy
Joel FERREE died 1801 PA. killed during Indian Attack. The FERREE lines were Gunsmiths out of Germany skilled in making muskets, also made Gunpowder at their Mills for many of the War efforts in the early settlement of this new America. A Capt. WELLS and Joel served together, and Joel might of been a Capt as well. They were very likely friends from the PA. area as my FERREE line married a WELLS and also other FERREE lines married WELLS. Grandson of Joel's is Reuben FERREE b. 1794 PA. married PA. prior to 1818 to Nancy WELLS b. 1797 would like to get a clue on her WELLS line. I feel its linked to a Capt. WELLS looking for some sort of clue for linking these family Lore stories of their Rev. Wars efforts..
Looking for any information on any FERREE that served in the Rev. War. Joel links to the FERREE lines that came to the Isle of PA. in very early 1700's Madame FERREE brought her family on one of Wm. Penn's offers of the new Frontier called America or the Isle of Pa. its called in some old history writing.
Also would like to find any ASHBROOK, (Levi) or BALTZLEY (BALTZY) that served in the Rev. War efforts.
Welcome all conversation on any of this... Thanking in advance... May kindness be returned ten fold.
