Would you please look to see if my ancestor, Benjamin Ozburn (or Osborne, Osburn, Ozbun, Orsborn, Osborn), may have fought in the Revolutionary War? Unfortunately, I don't know much about him, except that his father was also Benjamin Ozburn (b.1726 in Baltimore Co., Maryland) and his mother was Rebeccah Hawkins. The younger Benjamin was probably born around 1748 or so. I don't know his spouse's name. He may have been living in South Carolina, Virginia or Orange County, NC, at the time he volunteered. He had a son, Bartholomew Osburn, born 1776, in Virginia, and another son, Thomas Ozburn, born 1783 in North Carolina. Thank you for your trouble. He is my missing generation. The older Benjamin would have been 50 at the time the war started. He also may have fought. I would appreciate a lookup on him as well.
