My Lt. Col. William Stafford was born in <Hanover Co.> NC and removed to the Hampton Co. (now Beaufort Co.) area of St. Peter's Parish prior to the American Revolution. He is buried in Black Swamp Cemetery, Beaufort District in SC. Do you have any information on his service during the war?
