We have one John MCDOWELL listed in our Patriot Index that died in Kentucky.

John McDOWELL: born 1757 in Virginia. Died after 1812 in Kentucky. He married twice. (1) Lucy LeGrand, (2) Sarah (McDowell). He was a 1 Lieutenant and on the Conteniental Line from the State of Virginia.

If you would like to order a copy of the application paper. Send a check made payable to Treasurer General, NSDAR for $10. Send the Patriot information and the name of the child that you descend. To REGISTRAR GENERAL NSDAR, Attn: record Copy Dept.; 1776 D Street NW, Washington, DC 20006-5303.
