Jesse Peacock, my 4g grandfather, was b. abt. 1747 in Johnston Co., NC, son of John Peacock and Patience Ann Raiford Peacock. He died in Johnston Co., near the Wayne Co. line, abt 1804. His wife was Elizabeth (maiden name unknown).

Jesse is said to have served in the Rev. War, possibly as a Lt. My gg grandfather's obit says his grandfather served as an aid de-camp on General Washington's staff.

His children were Jacob, Jesse, Jr., Daniel, Priscella, Selah, Elizabeth, Sarah, Obedience, Zilpha and Wiley (my 3g grandfather, who married Leafy Ellis, dau. of Rev. War solder Absalom Ellis).

I'd be interested in finding out any additional info on Jesse's Rev. War service.
