1) Solomon Shippee, Born 1749 Scituate, RI - Died 5-21-1843 Hampton, CT. Foster, RI, Probate records, Vol. 8, Page 13, lists him as a pensioner of U.S.

2) John Hammond, Born 11-30-1756 Scituate, RI - Died 12-22-1841 Coventry, RI. Listed in Coventry, RI list of vetrans graves as veteran of Revoloution. Listed in "Civil and Military List of RI" "Smith 1900" as:

a) Vol. 1 Page 401 Ensign, 3rd Regiment, Providence County, 6th Co., May 1781

b) Vol. 1 Page 460, Captain, Foster 3rd Co. - June 1788

c) Vol. 1 Page 472, as above, May 1789

Solomon is my wife's direct ancestor, her maiden name Nancy Shippee. John Hammond is my direct ancestor.
