Hello,
I have been researching several potential DAR ancestor lines for many years. I am now the closest I have ever been, although there is still more research required.
I know it states on the NSDAR website that birth certificates are only required for the first several generations (working back). Could you provide any more detail on what generations require birth certificates? Also, for later generations, what are acceptable proofs of lineage, and which are the best?
I am researching several potential ancestors, but have had the most results with the following line:
Silas Flanary A040493
Patrick Porter A091277
I have contacted the local chapter, but only received an email on the upcoming chapter meeting. Can I attend a chapter meeting? Is there a way to contact the chapter volunteer who works with applications and research guidance?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
