My Great Grandfather X4 was in 1777 Earl Twp, Lancaster Co, PA. was listed on tax assessor's list. He was a Mennonite. In 1795 he was listed in Manheim Twp. under David Gundy. BTW our last name is "Van Gundy" but we have seen it in records as "Gundy" and "Gundee" as well.

David's dob 6 May 1755 Mada Creek, Earl Twp, Lancaster Co, PA, death 2 May 1827, Harrison Twp, Pickaway Co, OH.

I've been told that he fought in the American Revolution and received land grants in OH along with his brothers. In 1801 he did move to OH. There he opened a mill.
