There is a Caleb Carr buried in the Novi, MI cemetery. His headstone says he was born 13 Oct 1762, and some sources say he died 18 Jul 1839. The DAR marked his grave in 1914. I am trying to prove his revolutionary war service, but find that there are many Caleb Carrs who served, and the information I am finding on them does not match this Caleb Carr. One source cites his service information as coming from Mass. Soldiers and Sailors, III, 130, but I have seen this entry and do not know how I would know for sure if it is the right Caleb Carr.
