William S. Stryker's 1872 "Official Register of the Officers and Men of New Jersey in the Revolutionary War" has at page 465:
GOBLE, EZEKIEL. Sergeant, "Eastern Battalion," Morris.
Would someone tell me if this Ezekiel Goble is the one who married Phoebe Peck on 11 May 1758 in the First Church of Hanover, Morris County, New Jersey? I have that this Ezekiel Goble died on 6 Feb 1811 in Kingston, Luzerne Co., PA, with Phoebe Peck dying on 17 Aug 1809, probably in the same town.
If this Ezekiel Goble is the DAR Patriot, has anyone joined through his son James Goble, b. 30 June 1768 in Morristown, Morris Co., NJ, m. 16 Oct 1791 Nancy (or Mary) Pollard. She was b. 8 Mar 1767 in Morristown and d. July 1851 in Rockville, Parke Co., IN. James Goble d. 27 Jan 1833 in Rockville, IN.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
