Classification: Query
Surnames: McShain, McShane, Moore, Taylor
I would appreciate a lookup, has a DAR member entered under this man?

This Edward McShain / McShane was supposedly b. 1751 in Hunterdon Co., NJ, possibly the part now Mercer Co.

His alleged to have spent some time mid-1780s in Berkeley Co., (West) VA, possibly the part now Jefferson Co.

If he had service during the War it could have been in NJ or in VA.

In 1780s or 1790s, moved to present Harrison Co., KY, where he is buried in the cemetery called Indian Run Baptist or Endicott Meeting House. There may be a Rev. War marker at his grave site according to one cemetery transcript, but if so and who placed it there are unknown.

Name of wife or widow unknown, but possibly had married Sarah (Moore) Taylor, b. probably Washington Co., MD, widow of Samuel Taylor who d. Berkeley Co., (West) VA.

Not pensioned. Names of children unknown.

Thank you for your assistance,
Jade
