In general, you need prove back to the aunt who was a member, not all the way back to the patriot. If you would like a copy of the application with the patriot's information, you may request a copy from DAR National Headquarters. Send the name of the patriot and your aunts' names with a $10.00 check made payable to: Treasurer General NSDAR for each application ordered and mail to:

Please send only one check and one request per envelope. It may take 4 to 6 weeks to receive your copy as the office is very busy.

The application may contain names, dates, locations, service and reference sources that may be of interest to you. If you or any member of your family is interested in joining the DAR or the SAR, please let me know.
