Re: Pilkington ( Glass Manufactors)
My husband is the grandson of Emma Pilkington of Clayton-LE-Moors Lancashire. She passed away in 1948. My mother Doris Pilkington immigrated to the US in 1950. She passed away in 1980. She was married to James Edmund Hacking. Doris had two brothers, William and Bert, and one sister, Maggie. They are all deceased.
II hope this information helps.

Re: Pilkington ( Glass Manufactors)
The family tree appears in "Pilkington Brothers and the Glass Industry", by TC Barker, 1960. I have a spare copy of the book if it's of interest.

Re: Pilkington ( Glass Manufactors)
Could you please check in your "Pilkington Book" and see if Samuel C. Pilkington or John Lyle McDowell Pilkington are mentioned? If either of them are and your spare copy is still available, I would love to buy it. My connection to the Pilkingtons is Lettie/Leatrice/Letitia Murphy born c. 1861 who married John Lyle McDowell Pilkington 18/Dec/1884. My information has come from family and "Ancestry and Posterity of the Lyles: Pioneer Settlers of VA"

Re: Pilkington ( Glass Manufactors)
Sorry, neither name appears in the book. The family trees which are given are primarily aimed at showing how the company was kept in the family. Children who had no part in the company are therefore left unamed.

Re: Pilkington ( Glass Manufactors)
I have a Lionel George Pilkington who ended up in Yorkshire in the Snaith area in the late 1700s. It is a fairly unique family name. Do you have any idea if he came from the Lancashire Pilkingtons? Appreciate your help.
