ezekiel YOUNG was born in Grayson Co., VA in 1840. he served in 51st VA inf. in the Civil War. After the war he married Elizabeth PHIPPS but by 1870 he is missing from the VA census; Eliz. is living with her parents and daughter.
I have found no divorce on record but did find Eliz. Confederate pension application, which states her husband died in Kansas City, date not stated.

My grt-grdf is also ezekiel YOUNG aka as e.e. or e. YOUNG who moved to MO around 1875, married Olive Sweaney of Jackson Co. MO, had one son Edward Lee YOUNG. He was a veternarian in private practice but he also worked for the Holmes Brothers transporation serve in KC. He died in 1897.

From research it appears these ezekiels are actually one and the same, making my grandfather a bigamist. Does anyone know about this man and where he may have been between the time he left VA and settled in MO?
