Surnames: BOXELL, OLIVER, NELSON, TAYLOR
I am looking for more info on my gggrandfather & his 2 wives. William Thomas Boxell born 17 mar 1836 Van Buren Township, Grant co, Indiana to John D. Boxell (Boxwell) & Anna Eliza McFadden.
William's 1st wife:

Rachael Nelson

b: abt 20 jun 1840

(whereabouts unknown)

d: 28 jun 1896

Middleville, Wright co, Minnesota

William & Rachael had 14 children together. Do not know
what happened to them?

William's 2nd wife:

Lydia Millie Oliver

b: 1879

(whereabouts unknown)

d: 15 may 1897

Middleville, Wright co, Minnesota

both William & Lydia were murdered on the nite of may 15, 1897. Someone using an axe killed them both & locked the
doors of the home. He was found outside near the road - possibly trying to escape - she was in the bedroom - looked like she was trying to use a gun to defend herself.

3 yrs later they indicted 2 sons - Joseph & John Boxell as well as a son-in-law George Taylor. Joseph was tried & aquitted. Charges were dropped agains the others.

also in mar 1899 another daughter of William & Rachael's was shot to death by her husband. Sarah Boxell Kier. She had a 20 month old child with her - child unharmed - husband Fred T. Kier convicted of 3rd degree murder. would like to know anything about the child?

George Taylor was born: 7 aug 1859 (where unknown) parents were Myles Taylor & Mary Jane Gray. The 3 Taylor brothers married 3 of the Boxell daughters. can find nothing out about the Taylor family.

would be ever so grateful for anyone's help with the above
people. Also would love to hear from any other decendents of William & Rachael (Nelson) Boxell!

thank you for your time,

Jean Linton
