Ninge Dimmensdr, wife of Job Piersz Verniel
Born ca 1530. Died 1585. Tried as a witch in Goedereede on the island of Goeree in Zuid Holland and burned alive. Victim, as were her two other sisters, of the infamous witch trials in Goedereede, one of the last to take place in the Netherlands. Her son Pieter visited his mother in prison for the last time on December 12, 1585. She was burnt at the stake before the year was out. Many descendants are alive today thanks to her son's children who took the name Kievit, probably from their mother.
