Greetings!
I have the marriage cert of the above couple.
I am trying to find out more on this margaret donoghue,
as she maybe the sister of my GG-Grandfather John Donoghue.

place - newcastle
religion - church of scotland
groom - william horten
status - bachelor
birthplace - n/l
occupation - shoemaker
aged - n/l
usual residence - near baraba
parents - n/l
bride - margaret donoghue
status - spinster
birthplace, occupation, age - n/l
usual residence - maitland
parents - n/l
Wittness - samuel wade and jessy cameron
minister - james nimmo
comments - the bride signed with her mark.
n/l - not listed.
The marriage cert is made reference on another family tree,
with the bride listed as possible 3-4 wife, and then having 3 daughters. Their William Horton died abt 1874 at Armidale. No info is availble on the widow Margaret.
I am now thinking this maybe the wrong Horton family line, and would have thought "conjugal status" should have read widower if correct.
I have noticed some Hortons in the Pitt St area of Sydney,
as shoe and boot makers from the Sands Directory 1870-1880's - could be connected?
I did find a Margaret Horton who died 1930 at Auburn in Sydney at NSW BMD index - the names of her parents are
are the same as her siblings. Hope to find out some info
before the expense of requesting the death cert.
Donoghue/donohue/donahoe..ect with so many different spellings, tracking this "poplular" family name is challenging.
If anybody knows anything or are connected, please
post or contact me.
Thankyou for any assistance given and your time.
