Need help searching for family records

Hello ... I am creating a family tree for my family and am searching
for documents to help me do so. As such, I am looking for family
history information on Susan Davis, a Negro woman from Little River
County Arkansas, born probably in the mid 1800's. I have been told
that Susan Davis was born a slave (slave owner unknown) and was 8
years old when the emancipation proclamation was signed. It is
believed she and her brother were purchased as children by a slave
owner in Little River County from a slave owner living somewhere in
"middle Tennessee". She would have been the mother of Augustus
Davis, a Negro man who I believe was born around 1886 in Little River
County, Arkansas. Augustus Davis died in 1963 and is buried in
Texarkana, AR. I am told Susan Davis' slave owner gave her several
acres of land (possibly through the Freedman's Bureau), a portion of
which she later donated so that Davis Chapel AME church could be
built. Davis Chapel (named in her honor) still sits on that land
today. Augustus Davis I believe married a Negro woman named Sarah
(or Sara) Duckett. This bit of family history has been passed on
orally and I am looking for any documentation to support it. I have
other relative's name but don't know how pertinent it is to what I am
looking for at this point. So if you need any additional information,
please advise.

Any assistance you can give me in my search would be greatly
appreciated. As I do not live in the state of Arkansas, any
information you can share about on-line resources would also be
appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help. My email address
is: jpjones2@gmail.com

Kind regards ... Jena Jones
