Am looking for any info on Zillman Phillips born abt 1799 in Sc. He and wife, Rosanna are found in Greenville County, SC in 1830. Then he disappears and then reappears in DeKalb County, Al in 1860. He was a Baptist Minister and married Alfred Phillips and Elizabeth McCarter in Marshall County, Al about 1846. Think that Alfred could be Zillman's son since he named a son Zillman. Zillman and wife, Rosanna, are not found in any census after 1860 that I can find. Hope some of you have run into him in some census and can help me trace this elusive Phillips. Thanks so much.

I have a William Pinkney Phillips from Barnwell Co., SC.
However, I do know of a Phillips researching a Phillips
from Dekalb Co., AL. My William's father was Benjamine.
This goes back to 1780.

I also am researching the Zillman Phillips family and am about where your letter request information. Were you ever able to discover the date of Zillman Phillips' (death? Do you have information on this Phillips family that pre-dates Zillman born 1799? My family connects to Zillman's son Zillman, Jr. and wife Melvina Holsonback. It has been a long time since you posted your message and may no longer have an interest in the Phillips family; however if you have information you could share, I would appreciate it very much.
