Hi
I hope you get this. My grandfather was Reginald Osman Newman Cohen, son of Newman Cohen and brother of Dorothy, Guy and Gerald. He was born in Camberwell in 1894 and married Mabel Isabel Wall in 1916. My father Newman Moncrieff was born October 12 1916 and he had a sister Moya who emigated to Canada. My grandfather and grandmother got divorced and she married Leo Danvers Heron a former actor late in life.
Regards

Hi Beverley - this is a bit late in the day for a reply but I just came upon your message by chance. Reginald Osman Newman Cohen was my father and I think he was actually born in Brixton, but close! We might have met briefly when I called at your house unexpectedly, if your dad's name is Richard and you lived in Maidstone, Kent, at the time. He would be my half-brother. We're definitely talking about the same person as all the other details fit - Uncle Guy and so on. Also my father was in the RNVR and his mother was known as Rose Moncrieff. I have some newspaper articles and photos but not much, unfortunately.

Hi Renee
Yes, of course I remember you. It was a long time ago though! Sadly Dick died 1991 and our mother Betty died 1977. Our younger brother Mike died last year so that leaves Pete and I. We must catch up sometime. I found dad's family easily with all these threads on Ancestry. I well remember grandad although our paths didn't cross much. My e mail is beverleyp1948@gmail.com if you'd like to catch up.
Regards
Bev

Hi All

I am sorry if this might be seen as hijacking the thread but my great Grandmother was one half of the Pagis Sisters who worked in many of Rose Moncrieff and Newman Maurice's shows so if anyone has any theatre posters, programmes, news clippings that mention any of the following, Id be most grateful for a copy

The Sisters Pagis, Miss Violet Pagis, Miss Lena Pagis, Adele Pagis, Adele Deag, Cecile Pagis, Cecile Rene, Henry P Brodie, Henry Brodie.

All help really gratefully received
All the best
