Just found this thread.

I just discovered that i had some relations living in Portobello, Edinburgh at least upto 1919
Samuel Lingard of 73 willowbrae road, portobello was a boot and shoe maker... becoming a Shoe shop Manager in the 1911 Scotland census.

But i cant find him in the trade records yet?
