American Revolution veterans buried in Hawaii

The Hawaii Society, Sons of the American Revolution, is eager to find the graves of the veterans of the American Revolution who are buried on the Islands. They wish to mark the gravestones with appropriate markers.
If there were any, they would almost certainly have been young ships boys on American privateers during the Revolution, who late became sailors, probably on whaling ships. Most of the crew members of the American whalers in the period (1800-1840) who went to the Islands, were from Nantucket or New Bedford.
Can anyone help me with this search?

Your post drew my attention, so thought I might reply. I simply want to back up your remark about New Bedford. Which for researchers has a wonderful website I am thankful for. But back to the subject, I had an Uncle Aaron R Powers who I found referenced in the New Bedford Free Public Library's ship and crew lists. He was born in 1834 in Cayuga Co, NY and drowned on board his own vessel when it capsized in the Moloki channet about two miles from Lanai. His ship was the Iolani, he had a wife which I believe may have been from Honolulu, name being Mary Francis ?, last name unknown, but he had left behind two young daughters, Emma age 5 about and Maria about 3 at the time. I know he sailed on the Amazon and the Edward in his travels as well. I know none are buried in Hawaii during the revolution, but my point is his father who was born in 1804 most likely the child of a revolutionary soldier. Any help there would be appreciated. Uncle Aaron's maternal father is a Revolutionary soldier but he was buried in Cayuga Co, NY, I know this family is New England based and have much information on them, but the POWERS side is difficult and offers many questions. Would like to prove Revolutionary connection on this line. Keep up the great work, and thank you for your interest in preserving, local, industrial, and family history. The Hawaiian State Archives have been a great source of information for us regarding our Hawaiian connection.

I wish to contact the family/descendants of Capt. A.R. (Aaron R.?) Powers, captain of the Iolani when she foundered off Lanai 13th Feb. 1877, and the captain drowned, his body never recovered. I have information on his wife Mary Francis and two daughters.
