Wade,
i may of missed something, where do I submit info?
My Jerimiah O'leary- b. 11 Jan. 1801 d. 22 Apirl 1850 (dropsy) was a Stonemason

State of South Carolina Petition of Jerry O'leary petioner York District, was born in Ireland, the County of Cork and did arrive Norfolk in the State of Virginia in 1821. Hath resided in the US eversince within the Jurisdicion of this state for the past 2 yrs and is now 25 yrs of age and intention to become citizen 23 Oct. 1824

Jeremiah, being a stonemason, may have worked with a famous architect here in SC by the name of Robert Leckie. Seems that early Irish immigrants, being stonemasons, helped build the Lancaster County Courthouse (built 1825) and other now historic structures in Chester, York, and Lancaster County. This historian seems to think that the Dept. Of Archives has a pay roster from that time period for some of those jobs
