Jerimiah and Jerry- I have seen both ways- good thing he was Irish :) and not German- then I would of been tracking, baptismal and confirmation names + English misunderstandings and re-writing of the spoken name, middle names being used as first names, and of course made up names if they were evading the German draft. I also love the Irish as they most always seem to stay together as family groups early on, and in one burial plot in Brooklyn 22 family members were in 2 plots. Great for hunters like me.
so in York I found O'leary, O'Farrell, Conner and Hare/O'Hare
