I'm looking for any information on Cherokee Hammons. He had a Wild West Show for many years, traveling mostly in the east.
He wintered in Quitman,GA. His wife was Pearl Biron.
He died in Indiana.

Hey PineHurst,
My grandfather was one of the first bareback riders for the Cherokee Hammons Wild West Show in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am reading and editing my Grandfather's life story, as written and told by him. His name is Tex Shepherd. I am only in the 4th chapter and that is when he introduces his life as a "real cowboy" ...
I would love to connect more with you. Tex was a genealogy buff, fascinated with the Wild West, animals, love of life, and a passion for history.
I, too, share all of these character traits with him.
