Hoping someone can help me.
My father is listed on a shipping list with his occupation noted as Sec. Indus.
I'm thinking secondary industry? But really have no idea.
He immigrated from England in 1952 and originated from Bradford.
Hope someone can help!
Thanks
Marilyn

I can only think that Sec. means secretary. Until the late 1950s in England Secretaries were often men, and Company Secretaries still are, since this isn't a job we usually think of as being secretarial! Perhaps this means Secretary, Industrial.

Hi,
Thank you. I'll run it past his ex-wife and see if she remembers him doing any such work.
Regards
Marilyn
