That's an interesting question. At first I was thinking an addresser was simply a clerk who wrote addresses on official documents. But an "addressor" is someone who "addresses" letters of credit, also. That would mean handling financial transactions, either money promised to the people you mentioned (Hutchinson, Clinton, etc.), or money they promised to others. Talk to someone in the banking business and they might be able to help. Also, Gov. Hutchinson's financial records and correspondence may be archived somewhere, and may be indexed; they should provide clues.
