I am considering a course of study through the University of Toronto, Faculty of Information Studies, Professional Learning Centre and the National Institute for Genealogical Studies.
1. Can anyone give advice about the value of this certification and which "package courses" would be best to take. I have no other certifications in this field - all self-taught and fairly proficient in the basics of research in Canada
2. This facility offers a "Certificate in Genealogical Studies" - what would this qualify me to do in a professional setting?
3. From a professional stand-point, is there a specific course of study recommended by those employers who would be hiring someone to work in this field?
