Second son of Major John Watson (1720-1799) and Sarah Prickett (1747-1840). Younger brother of General Sir James Watson KCB (1772-1862). Born 1774. Entered Navy as a first class volunteer in 1783 on board Bombay Castle. From 1788 through 1794 employed in the North Sea, off the coast of Africa and in the English Channel. Promoted to Lieutenant back on the Bombay Castle in 1796. Employed on the Home Station until 1802. From December 1803 until August 1814 he commanded the 12-gun Aggressor chiefly in the Channel. Promoted to Commander in 1814. There is no sign of him having married or of having fathered any children. Nor do I have any information on his place or date of death.
