My great-grandfather Jacob Stockburger (1856-1928) was a brewmaster at the Eagle Brewery in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania. His brother Christian was a brewmaster at the Catasauqua Brewery in the same borough. Family legend has it that Jacob brought the recipe for the beer with him from Germany. He immigrated about 1880.
Jacob's immigration papers state that he was from Rottenburg in Wuerttemberg, which is now Rottenburg am Neckar, Baden-Wuerttemberg. Does anyone know of a Stockburger who may have worked at a brewery in Rottenburg am Neckar about 1875-1880?
