Death Claims Nancy Jane Ferguson, 69
Former Postmistress at Elliottville; Was Native of Kentucky

Nancy Jane Fannin Ferguson, 69, lifelong resident of Rowan and Elliott counties and former postmistress at Clayton ( now Elliottville) Postoffice died Monday while on a visit to the home of a granddaughter in Rowan County.
Two years ago Mrs. Ferguson moved to Lincoln Park Michigan to be with her three children who had moved there. She returned to Rowan County for a visit when death came unexpectedly.
Survivors include a son, Guy G Ferguson, Lincoln Park MI, two daughters, Mrs. Marie Kidd and Mrs. Opal Jewell both of Lincoln Park, a brother B.F. Fannin of New Castle IN, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Powell Ferguson on November 28, 1949 and a daughter, Mrs Clonna Adkins.
The remains were removed to Lane Funeral Home which is caring for arrangements. She was a member of Laurel Baptist Church.
